[Blog Tour Review]: "Surrendering to Us"

Surrendering to Us by Chelsea M. Cameron
Series: Surrender Saga, 2
Genre: Contemporary Romance

They're finally together. But the Universe seems intent on tearing them apart…

Rory Clarke might not be Lucah Blythe's boss anymore, but that doesn't mean they can sneak off to the boardroom for hot sex whenever they want. Keeping their hands off each other in the workplace is harder than they could have imagined, and that's not the only obstacle they have to deal with. Between Lucah's troublesome brother Ryder, and Rory's bff Sloane's inability to understand locked doors, they're drowning in drama.

But it's only about to get a lot worse when a blast from Lucah's past surfaces, and chaos at Clarke Enterprises threatens to take away everything Rory has worked so hard for. Can the couple weather the storm and surrender to each other, or will the challenges of staying together destroy their relationship for good?

Sweet Surrenering (#1) -- TBQ

My Review:

"Hello, Sloane," Lucah said, leaning against the counter. At least he didn't have a hard-on this time. Maybe he'd gotten better at getting rid of it. Turn it on, turn it off. Penis up, penis down.

I've yet to read a book by Chelsea M. Cameron that I didn't like. More importantly, I have yet to make it through one of her books without snorting and laughing at least a dozen times.

Surrendering to Us continues the story of Rory and Lucah (which started in Sweet Surrender). I'm glad that Cameron wrote this book, as SS may have ended with these two together, but it wasn't complete. After all, he still works for Rory, indirectly, as she is the VP of the company (and the daughter of the owner). They can't exactly tell the world about their relationship. I liked watching them work through this issue; sure, they had sex in an office closet one or twice, but they both knew it was not something they could get away with easily, nor was it the best idea. Did it make for some extra steamy scenes? Of course!

I had to stop questioning what was standing in front of me and just believe in it. Believe in us.

I liked Rory and Lucah's relationship. Cameron doesn't make it easy, so it seems more realistic. They have not only the working-together issue, but also Rory's best friend, who can be a bit needy, Lucah's bad boy brother, Ryder, who's been in more than his fair share of trouble, not to mention stress at work as the Board tries to get rid of Rory's father – and perhaps her. There's plenty of sexy times, not to mention fun times, but serious subjects are brought up as well, which I liked. For example, they talk about their future. Rory is unsure if she wants marriage and kids, though she loves Lucah. Lucah wants to start their future together, but he's more than happy to wait until she's ready. I appreciated that Rory did not suddenly change, stop working, marry Lucah and start popping out ginger babies. That may be in their future, but not right now.

I loved the hotel room scene: Post-It notes, “Mine”, and hot sex. What more could you want? Apparently ginger heroes have great stamina and skills. Plus, I can't forget his tongue ring . . . I can only hope that Ryder and Sloane's book will be just as sexy. He is a ginger, too, after all. Oh, and tatts. Yum!

Once again, another fun and extremely sexy romance from Chelsea M. Cameron! I can't wait to read Ryder and Sloane's story, since they've been simmering away since book 1. I admit, I'm not sure how much I will like Sloane as the heroine, but I'll keep an open mind, especially because of Ryder. Gotta love the bad boy trying to change his ways, right? :)

4 STARS!

I received an e-copy of this book for my honest opinion. However, I also bought my own copy.

Have you read Chelsea M. Cameron yet? I highly recommend -- this series in particular is very good! :) Who can resist a sexy ginger hero? Plus, at $0.99 right now, the temptation is double strength . . .

Enjoy!
