Amazon and Barnes and Nobles Links--The Full Disclosure

This is my full disclosure on the use of Amazon and Barnes and Nobles links on my blog:




First off, I do not make a living, in any way, off of these links. I signed up for the programs because, for one thing, the options for links, widgets, and other such things are nice and easy and therefore allow me to "decorate" my blog and provide easy access to various pages I want to share with you. The fact that there is the option of getting a small percentage of any sale from the use of my links is only an added bonus to me, and I have yet to even receive one penny despite the fact that I have had the Amazon Affiliates link for almost a year and a half now. This does not bother me, as this was not the main reason I signed up. However, it does go to show that I am not doing it for the money.



My thought is this: if you are already interested in buying a certain product, say after reading my review on it, and there happens to be links to Amazon and/or Barnes and Nobles to buy the product, perhaps you might consider using my links to buy it. It would save you a step of having to look up the product, and if you do buy it, I will receive a small percentage of the order. I think it's a win-win for both of us, but I would in no way force any reader of my blog to do so. If you usually buy book and other products at these two websites, then perhaps you might want to use my links, if for nothing else than to be able to look at the products yourself and add them to your own list for later purchases.



Any orders that you do place are not shown to me. I do not see any of your personal information, in fact I don't think it will even show me what you bought, just that someone did buy things using my links, perhaps the total, and then the percentage that is to be paid to my account. What is paid to me does not come from your pocket, but rather the company (Amazon or B and N).



Any money that I might get from these links will go towards future items for this blog (ie, designs, upkeep, prizes for future giveaways as well as postage for those prizes).



I usually let you know in my posts which links, if any, go to my Amazon or B and N account. However, if it does not say so, it is safe to assume that most book title links or "purchase at these places" links do connect to my account if you decide to purchase. Also, I am starting to use B and N links embedded in the covers of the books in my posts for reviews and such, so clicking on the book cover picture will also take you to that particular page and give you the option to buy it.



In short, if you are already interested in buying this book, and you wish to buy it from Amazon OR Barnes and Nobles, perhaps you could help out my blog and buy it from one of the links provided throughout this blog?
