Musing Maddie's Review:

Julie Garwood consistently produces books with super hot heros, feisty strong heroines, and captivating and intense storyline. Hotshot was simply another example of fabulous, which Garwood is known for.

The characters, Finn MacBain And Peyton Lockhart will enamor readers. Appropriate time was taken to build character, history and believability. They shared an undeniable bond, and their romance was both sizzling and delicious. I liked that Peyton grew to accept that she was due love, that she was worth a man's perseverance and effort. Finn had to work hard, and also learn to forgive himself. A commendable and plausible journey for both characters.

Poor Finn never really knew what hit him, when he met 'scrawny next door neighbour' Peyton, at his brother's wedding. Gone was the indebted waif, arrived was the gorgeous, irresistible woman.

Alongside the budding romance, was a fairly predictable, yet absorbing and sinister plot, with Peyton's life in danger.

Quick witty banter was cleverly used, as well as beautifully descriptive prose, enabling the reader to be enriched by a wonderful story, with the benefit of talented writing.

Supporting characters lent credibility, and I would be lying if I didn't wish to see future stories involving Ivy, who was mostly absent in the story. There were gaps in his history that I would have liked unpacked, but otherwise sufficient detail was provided.

Overall, Hotshot was a well written Romantic Suspense that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre. A light read, a hot read, an enchanting read.

 4 STARS!

Meet Musing Maddie:

Musing Maddie is an avid reader, who mainly devours all things romance. She loves series, but only when the story warrants a few books rather than one. A strong, intelligent female with a bit of sass and wit is the preferred heroine in the books she reads, and some sizzle between the sheets is welcome too. Well, ok...more than welcome! Well, not just between the sheets is just fine too! She’s from Down Under, so her humor is on the crazy side. Captivating storylines, with well developed plot and yes, hot, hunky Heroes, is definitely a preference, but she loves it when the characters are damaged, and their story brings hope and restoration. Yes please to HEAs!
