Foster delivers the second novel in her edgy back-to-back trilogy--a smoldering tale featuring men who walk the edge of honor.

With a smile like an angel and fire in her eyes, Priscilla Patterson isn't who she seems to be. But neither is the gorgeous bodyguard who ignites all her senses. Joining forces to plot Coburn's downfall, Priss and Trace must fight the undeniable heat between them. For one wrong move, one lingering embrace, will expose them to the wrath of a merciless opponent….

Kame's Review:

”They were good men, walking the edge of honor, never teetering too far to the dark side, but accomplishing what others couldn’t.”

Trace has laser focus on his self-appointed task to rid the world of Human Traffickers.  It has been this way since his sister was taken and held captive, thankfully rescued by his best friend Dare. Undercover within an organization that is a big player in the Human Trafficker market he needs to find a way to become a more trusted member of Murray Coburn’s team.  Priscilla “Priss” Patterson arrives and announces she is Coburn’s daughter. Even though Coburn doubts Priss is his daughter, he is enamored with her and tasks Trace with her personal safety and making her look more presentable.

“I know you are a fraud, Priscilla. I know you have something planned, something that might get us both killed. And I know you’re out of your league.”

Priss has her own reason for wanting to see Coburn’s organization crumble and as her trust in Trace grows she reveals it to him. Trace starts to have feelings for Priss; but he knows acting on them would only complicate his mission.  He will rid the world of Coburn and then explore his feelings for Priss. He inability to show Priss that he trusts her may cause him to never know the depth of her love.

“You flaunted your near nakedness, but here’s a news flash for you, Priss. You’re not the first naked woman I’ve seen.”

“And probably not the best-looking, I know….But you looked like you enjoyed the show.”

“I have a pulse, so of course I enjoyed it.”

The dialog in this book is fantastic. Nothing seems farfetched or contrived. As I read I could sense when Trace and Priss were “in their role” for the benefit of someone in Coburn’s organization, and when they were their true selves.   Even though Priss tries to act worldly she is taken by surprise sometimes; the scene where Jackson must rescue her is hysterical and shows how far these men will go to accomplish their mission. The scenes with characters from the first book of this series are wonderful.  It was great to see Molly and Dare as a happily married couple, and Chris is just a hoot! We are also introduced to Jackson, the hero in book three of this series. This book has intense action, it would actually be a great book to suggest to the man in your life; lots of weapons, romantic scenes are straight and to the point, and most of the characters in this story are male.

I borrowed this book from the library, and as soon as I get a few titles off my To Be Read/Reviewed pile I will check book three out of the library.

Meet Kame:

Kame is part of a family of readers; one day she picked up the Nook she purchased for her husband and discovered her love of e-books. A few months later he purchased one for her so he could have his back! Kame’s Nook is never far, and she is hard pressed to pick a favorite book, genre or author. As long as there are characters that make her want to sit down and have a chat and a plot keeps the pages turning, she’ll read it.

Great review Kame. Love this series. I just finished Bare It All ( Love Undercover #2) and Trace has a cameo in it. Between Bare It All and your review it makes me want to re-read Men Who Walk The Edge Of Honor series. Look forward to seeing what you think of the rest of the series.
